On August 26th (aka National Dog Day), Rady Children's Hospital is teaming up with CBS8 for the Second annual Working Fur Kids Giveathon, a day dedicated to raising funds and awareness to develop a Rady Children’s Resident Canine Therapy Program.

Each furriendly pup that is a part of the program will have a very important job (just like me) to bring a special kind of magic that inspires joy, connection, and warmth to the patients at Rady Children's Hospital.  The biggest difference is that they will be medically trained pros who team up with a certified therapist to provide round the clock patient care to kiddos who need them the most. 

Each dollar raised will help establish this incredible program! And I am thrilled to bark about the cause!

Healing isn't just about medicine, but companionship and the kind of love only a dog can give.
