We are doing this fundraiser in honor of my husband's little sister, Carissa, who passed away from cancer in 2008. While Carissa was battling cancer, this program was helpful in comforting her and her family with necessities like blankets, pillows, and food. The program even went above and beyond and provided activities and games for her and other children at the hospital. Carissa's motto was Live, Laugh, Love and she stayed true to that. We would love to pay it forward to other children who are battling cancer, to honor Carissa. 

We understand how challenging it is for these children and how much of a difference this program makes for families going through these heartbreaking moments, so we became Miracle Makers.

You may not know this, but Peckham Center for cancer and blood disorders treats about three hundred newly diagnosed kids a year. Over 80% of the kids they treat become long term survivors and philanthropy is the reason why. Support makes the world of a difference for these children and their families.
