The Behavioral Health Sedation Services at Rady Children’s Hospital strives to provide individualized, safe, and high-quality care to our neurodivergent patients. The approach to sedation and anesthesia for neurodiverse children requires specialized care coordination addressing the unique and challenging needs of this patient population. We are committed to optimizing our perioperative experience through a customized multidisciplinary approach with child life, behavioral health, adaptive care plans, sensory programs, and the support of the Autism Discovery Institute.
